Open Embroidery Foot #20D is made for appliqué work, decorative embroidery, and stitching neatly over drawn lines and pattern markings. Its open-toe design gives you a clear, unobstructed view of the needle and stitching area—perfect for precise placement when sewing ribbons, trims, and layered appliqué shapes.
A wide front opening and wedge-shaped channel underneath help the fabric feed smoothly, even when you’re sewing dense stitch formations like Richelieu or circular embroidery. Working with “sticky” materials? The Open Embroidery Foot is also available in a non-stick version (#56) to help fabrics glide with less drag.
