Tailor Tack Foot #7 is a versatile tool for both marking and decorative sewing techniques. In addition to marking seam lines and darts, it can be used to create elegant embellishments, imitation hemstitching (fagotting), fringe, and dimensional 3D effects.
When joining two layers of fabric, the thread tension is slightly reduced so the thread can glide smoothly over the raised ridge in the center of the foot. This allows the zigzag stitch to form loose loops, which slip to the back of the fabric through the foot’s distinctive V-shaped opening.
For marking seam lines or darts, the fabric layers are gently pulled apart after stitching, leaving clear, precise thread markers. With its ability to transition from practical markings to eye-catching decorative details, Tailor Tack Foot #7 adds both function and creative flexibility to your sewing projects.
