Seiko Tension Disc (Part #20224)
Ensure flawlessly balanced stitches with the Seiko Tension Disc (Part #20224). This authentic replacement component is the primary contact point for thread control in the Seiko LSW long-arm industrial series, critical for achieving professional-grade seams on heavy materials.
The tension discs work in pairs to provide the "squeeze" that regulates how much thread is released during a stitch cycle. Over time, industrial threads—especially bonded nylon or abrasive polyester—can wear microscopic grooves into the surface of generic discs. These grooves cause "snagging" and erratic tension. This Seiko part features a mirror-polished, hardened surface to ensure the thread glides smoothly, even at high speeds.
