Needle Plate(Throat ) is a foundational metal plate located on the bed of an industrial sewing machine directly beneath the presser foot. It acts as the flat working surface that supports the fabric during stitching. It features precision-cut slots that allow the feed dogs to rise up and move the fabric, alongside a designated needle hole (or wide slot for zigzag models) through which the needle passes to form stitches.
