An Ultra Firm Stabilizer: Peltex 70
For extra support, Pellon 70 Peltex Ultra-Firm Sew-In Stabilizer is easy to sew, even when sandwiched in between other fabrics. Ideal for use in accessories, crafts, home decor, and quilting projects. From hat brims to tote bags, Peltex 70 will shape and support accessories. Peltex 70 provides a firm and lofty base for free-motion embroidery and stipple quilting. It maintains its shape and does not flatten or distort when steam pressing. With no grain, it can be cut in any direction.
Made of 100% polyester. Non-woven. Single-sided fusible adhesive. Available in white only. Sewing machine safe. Note: Always pre-wash and pretest fabrics to make sure it is compatible with the fusible. Do not use fabric softener. No pre-shrinking required. Machine wash warm on gentle cycle. Tumble dry low or dry clean.
DIRECTIONS FOR BAG MAKING & ACCESSORIES:
1. To avoid bulk, trim excess Peltex 70 from seam allowances after stitching.
2. To permanently set creases, use a combination of heat, steam, and pressure.
3. Peltex 70 left in seam allowances, flatten by topstitching.
DIRECTIONS FOR FABRIC & QUILT FRAMING:
1. Cut strips of Peltex 70 2"-4" wide.
2. Place strips under fabric or quilt, leaving one edge exposed.
3. Stitch along edge.
4. Pull Peltex 70 and staple to stretcher bars or frame.
