Pellon 975 Insul-Fleece: Hot & Cold Reflecting Thermal Interfacing.
Pellon 975 Insul-Fleece High Loft Sew-In Fleece made of needle-punched polyester fibers with an aluminized polyethylene scrim binder. The binder reflects hot or cold back—effectively maintaining the temperature of hot items for an extended period and keeping items cold for longer durations. Pellon 975 Insul-Fleece is a soft and comfortable material for use in garment construction, home décor and with accessories.
Made of 80% Polyester and 20% Metalized Polypropylene. Available in a variety of sizes. Sewing machine safe. Machine washable and dryable after sewing. Machine wash warm or cold. Tumble dry low or dry clean. Note: Insul-Fleece is not heat proof or fire resistant. For pot holders or heat-resistant pads, use one or two additional layers of cotton batting between the outer fabric and Insul-Fleece. Do not iron directly on the aluminized scrim binder. Do not microwave.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Following pattern lines, cut the lnsul-Fleece to the desired shape and size. Trim 1/4" from all seam allowances.
2. Cut one or two layers of cotton batting the same size as the lnsul-Fleece.
3. If project will be sewn and turned, place exterior and lining fabric pieces right sides together and place one piece each of batting and lnsul-Fleece against the wrong side of the lining fabric.
4. Place a second piece of cotton batting against wrong side of exterior fabric.
5. Stitch around all sides leaving a small opening for turning. Turn project right side out through opening and stitch opening closed.
