Pellon 975 Insul-Fleece is constructed from polyester fibers that are needle punched with an aluminized scrim binder, which aids in reflecting heat or cold back to its origin. This material is soft and suitable for use in apparel as well as home décor and accessory projects. Insul-Fleece can be sewn and is machine washable and dryable after sewing. It effectively maintains the temperature of hot items for an extended period and keeps cold items cold for longer durations.
Please Note: Insul-Fleece is neither heat proof nor fire resistant. For applications such as pot holders or heat resistant pads, it is advisable to incorporate one or two additional layers of cotton batting, like Nature’s Touch® 100% Cotton, between the outer fabric and Insul-Fleece. Exercise caution when dealing with hot surfaces and avoid ironing directly on the aluminized scrim binder.
