Perfect for microwavable projects
Pellon's Wrap-N-Zap is a microwave-safe product crafted from 100% natural cotton batting. When utilized in the microwave, it effectively retains moisture, resulting in perfectly baked potatoes or well-steamed ears of corn. Additionally, it is suitable for warming rolls and tortillas. The cotton batting helps to insulate, which cooks or heats the food evenly.
Refrain from washing batting until it is encased in fabric or the project is finished. Cotton and Cotton Blend battings can shrink up to 3-5%. To avoid shrinkage prior to use, we suggest you soak the batting in hot water for 20 minutes. DO NOT AGITATE WHEN WET. Gently wring or press out excess water and lay flat to dry. After your quilt is complete, you can machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and dry in dryer on low setting for best results.
Please Note: When utilizing products designed for microwave use, specific safety measures must be observed. Use only 100% Cotton batting, thread and fabric. Do not use batting that contains scrim. Limit the use to a maximum of two layers of batting, even at the seams. Wrap-N-Zap is constructed from 100% cotton fibers without any additives and is neither fire retardant nor flame proof. Therefore, we recommend cooking in one-minute intervals, not exceeding a total of eight minutes. Always supervise the microwave while in use and avoid using it in a convection/microwave oven. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IN THE MICROWAVE WITHOUT FOOD.
