Recommended Use:
A fantastic alternative to sticky stabilizers, Aqua Magic is perfect for embroidery on small or hard-to-hoop items. It securely holds ribbons, yarns, and other embellishments in place—especially helpful for scarf-making, hoop-less embroidery, and creative mixed-media projects. Suitable for light to medium-weight woven and knit fabrics, including batiste, chiffon, tulle, organza, towels, fleece, and more.

How to Use:

• Cut the Stabilizer: Trim a piece of Pfaff® Aqua Magic large enough to fit your hoop, allowing for at least 1" extra on all sides.
• Prepare the Stabilizer: Hoop the stabilizer with the paper side facing up.
• Expose the Adhesive Surface: Score an "X" in the paper using a pin or needle, being careful not to cut into the adhesive layer. Peel back the paper to reveal the tacky surface.
• Position the Fabric: Place your fabric or item right side up onto the exposed adhesive area.
• For Yarn or Ribbon Scarves: Arrange your materials on the adhesive, then cover with a water-soluble film to hold everything in place during stitching.
• Complete the Embroidery: Stitch your design as usual.
• Remove Excess Stabilizer: Trim away excess stabilizer beyond the design.
• Dissolve the Stabilizer: Submerge your finished piece in warm to hot water, gently agitating it for about 10 minutes until fully dissolved.
• Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse under warm water to remove any remaining stabilizer residue. Repeat if necessary for dense stitching or heavy fabrics. If using hard water, add a softener or switch to distilled water.
• Dry the Item: Lay flat to dry completely.
