Enhance the strength and stability of your embroidery projects with the Singer Cut-A-Way Black Stabilizer. Measuring 12" wide and 5 yards long, this soft, non-woven backing is built to last, offering permanent support that keeps your stitches looking crisp and professional. Its strong, even consistency makes it ideal for dense embroidery designs with high stitch counts. The black color blends beautifully behind dark fabrics, allowing your designs to shine without visible backing. Perfect for medium to heavyweight wovens as well as trickier materials like knits, denim, linen, and open-weave fabrics, this stabilizer ensures your creations stay smooth, secure, and flawless—even after repeated washing.

How to Use:

  1. Cut the Stabilizer Cut a piece of Cut-A-Way stabilizer large enough to fully cover your selected embroidery hoop.
  2. Hoop the Fabric and Stabilizer Together Hoop the stabilizer together with your fabric, taking care not to stretch or distort the fabric.
  3. Stitch the Embroidery Stitch your embroidery design as usual.
  4. Remove Excess Stabilizer Once finished, trim away the excess stabilizer as close to the stitched area as possible.
  5. Finishing Touches Wash and dry according to the care instructions for your fabric, and press with a medium-heat iron if needed.
