The oil regulator shaft works in tandem with the adjustment dial to physically open or constrict the oil flow path. In heavy-duty industrial sewing, a worn or slightly bent shaft can lead to inconsistent lubrication, causing the hook assembly to overheat or the machine to "spit" excess oil onto your material. This Seiko shaft is machined to the micron-level tolerances required for leak-proof, precision control.
