Automation by operation

Jeans & chino automation, operation by operation

Listed in the order a pair of jeans is usually assembled. Every machine shown is in our catalog β€” open it for details, or ask about the operation directly.

Step 01

Back pocket hemming

What it does
Hems back pockets automatically with a 2- or 3-needle chain stitch head and an adjustable folder.
Why it helps
Folding and hemming are done by the unit, so hem width and stitch quality stay the same from operator to operator. Single or double hem is set on the folder instead of by hand.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 02

Back pocket setting

What it does
Creases, positions and sews the back pocket from a stored program, then stacks the panel. Double-head units sew right and left pockets on the same pattern.
Why it helps
Pocket position and decorative stitching repeat from the program, which reduces dependence on a small number of skilled pocket-setting operators. Jigs are available to upgrade pocket setters you already run.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 03

Pocket & decorative stitching

What it does
Programmable pattern sewing for pocket designs and decorative stitching, plus automatic interlining feeding under the back pocket.
Why it helps
Stitch patterns are stored and repeated, and the feeding system cuts and places the interlining at the set length instead of by hand.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 04

Fly & J-stitch

What it does
Programmable J-stitch sewing for the front fly on button-fly or zip-fly garments, with automatic loading and stacking on the AGM AUTROY unit.
Why it helps
The J-stitch shape is sewn from a program, so the fly looks the same on every garment and the operation can be run by operators without long training.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 05

Panel serging

What it does
Automatic serging (overlock edge finishing) of trouser panels. The AGM double-head automat sews the left and right panels at the same time.
Why it helps
Panels are fed and serged automatically with consistent seam finish, freeing operators from a repetitive, high-volume operation.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 06

Inseam & felled seams

What it does
Heavy-duty 3-needle feed-off-the-arm machines for felled seams on denim, from stretch to heavy cotton.
Why it helps
A feeding system built for changing fabric thickness keeps stitching stable on heavy denim seams.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 07

Waistband attaching

What it does
Automatic 6-needle chain stitch waistband attaching, including straight, curved and Levi's-style waistbands, and wide waistbands up to 2 3/4".
Why it helps
The waistband is cut and attached by the machine, which keeps stitching consistent and raises output on one of the slowest operations in a jeans line.
Ask about this operation β†’
Step 08

Belt loops

What it does
Belt loop strip cutting, loop feeding with interlining cutting, under-waistband loop positioning, and automatic trimming of loop ends after sewing.
Why it helps
Cutting, positioning and trimming are taken off the operator, so loops are placed and finished consistently.

Consultation

Tell us what operation you want to automate

A few details about your line are enough to start. Factories in any country can send them β€” we review them and come back with suitable machines, options and next steps.

  1. 01Product you manufacture (5-pocket jeans, chino, workwear…)
  2. 02The operation you want to automate
  3. 03Current machine or process
  4. 04Current manpower on that operation
  5. 05Current output per shift
  6. 06Target output per shift

If you can, attach a short video of the current operation and photos of the garment. A video from the line shows us the operation faster than any description.
